On the outskirts of Arusha, 2 kilometres south of Arusha's domestic airport, you find Under The Shade Safari Lodge, a small boutique hotel. A beautifully landscaped garden full of lush plants and old trees surrounds the chalets, which hold 12 rooms in total, in single, double, triple and quadruple categories. It’s also possible to stay in the one family chalet, which has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a lounge and living area, a dining table, a balcony with a view of the garden, a patio and a private pool. Each room has good beds with mosquito nets, an ensuite bathroom and a living area. WiFi is free across the whole property.
For eating outdoors in the flower garden, the lodge’s restaurant has a gazebo. If you prefer, you can order room service and have your meal on your patio. Fancy a swim after a long day on safari? There are two swimming pools at the lodge, one of them specially for children!
