Set on the 4,000-acre Kilimanjaro Golf & Wildlife Estate, The Safari House is a boutique hotel with 10 bedrooms. Tucked inside a pleasant wildlife crescent, it gives guests just the right balance of comfort, luxury and privacy. The rooms combine simple, modern furnishings with pieces of historic dhow wood from the East African coast. Take a walk across the estate and meet elands, zebras, wildebeests and the elusive gerenuk. A guided horse ride brings you close to all the wildlife, or – if golf is your thing – you can play the most prestigious golf course in Tanzania, the Kili Golf. Every Wednesday and Saturday afternoon, the estate's Polo Club hosts live polo matches. Finally, the Dolly Airfield is only a 5-minute drive from the hotel, so guests can fly straight to Serengeti National Park and Zanzibar from right on their doorstep.
