High up on the Manyara Escarpment, the Mandhari Lodge enjoys a beautiful setting. Its view reaches all the way to Lake Natron, and across Lake Manyara as far as the Mondulli Mountains. In Swahili, Mandhari means ‘view’, and the lodge truly lives up to its name. Built entirely with locally sourced materials, it has 6 suites with glass fronts, one honeymoon suite and two family rooms. Because it is a fairly small lodge, every guest has plenty of space, along with an infinity pool with a view and rooms furnished in a modern yet comfortable way, with lovely beds, big sofas and attractive bathrooms. Note that children are welcome, but the lodge recommends not bringing children younger than four. Older children must be supervised at all times, because of the location and the wildlife that roams freely around the lodge.
