In Kogatende in the northern Serengeti, only a 5-minute drive from the famous Mara River, you find The Gnu Mara River Camp. This is where wildebeests and zebras cross the river on their migration into the Masai Mara. Each year the camp opens from July to mid-November, so guests can see this remarkable event with their own eyes. Facilities are of a high standard, with eight tents (one of them a family tent) offering ensuite flush toilets, hot water, 24-hour solar power and lovely views over the savannah. To round off exciting safari days in a relaxed way, there is a dining tent, a lounge and a bar with a fireplace.
