Just 300 meters from the national park boundary, inside the Game Controlled Area of the Tanzanian Wildlife Authority (TAWA), Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma is well placed for exploring the Serengeti ecosystem. The spacious tented camp has comfortable rooms with ensuite bathrooms, each with a toilet and a hot shower (solar-powered), plus a private patio with a table and chairs for enjoying the views. In the shared areas you can choose a buffet or the à la carte menu in the restaurant, have a drink in the lounge bar or at the campfire, or try the pool table and other games. It’s a pleasant spot to relax between your safari outings, and a good place to keep watching wildlife too, since the nearby Grumeti River means the lodge has plenty of animals in its proverbial backyard.
